Trash & Recycling Pick-up is only on Wednesday
Per Dekalb Sanitation: Trash cans must be at the curb by 7:00 A.M. on pick-up day.
Trash and recycling items should be placed on or near the curb after 6 pm (Tuesday regular schedule) or (Wednesday for holiday pickup). Do not place on the grass.
Roll carts should be 3 - 5 feet apart from each other.
No excess/overflow bags are permitted outside of roll carts; schedule an excess garbage collection request online for a prepaid special collection fee; OR obtain a second 95-gallon roll cart (an increase in annual sanitation assessment fees apply).
If your garbage/recycle is not picked up, call (404) 294-2900 to return for pickup.
Community etiquette: After trash service, place garbage cans and recycle bins behind your home on your patio on the day of pickup.
Do not place garbage and recycle bins on common property.
*Pickup service will run ONE day late when holiday falls on Mon - Wed.
Special items are not picked up during the regular Wednesday trash pickup. Some items may incur a fee from the county for pickup. Place your bulk items, i.e., furniture, appliances, etc. in front of your property. Call Dekalb Sanitation for special pickup (404) 294-2900.
Your property taxes pay for DeKalb County Sanitation & Recycling pick-up. Requests for a roll cart should be made directly to the County. Also, issues with missed pick-ups should be directed to DeKalb County Sanitation.
